This kit utilizes a solid phase, indirect ELISA method for detecting IgG antibodies to HEV (anti-HEV) in serum or plasma through a two-step incubation procedure. Polystyrene microwells are pre-coated with purified activated recombinant HEV antigen. The HRP conjugated mouse anti human IgG (r chain) monoclonal antibody serves as tracer, with TMB as substrate for HRP. The enzyme reaction produces a color change, and absorbance intensity at 450 nm indicates the presence or absence of Anti-HEV antibodies IgM in the sample. This specific, sensitive, and reproducible test is designed for blood screening of HEV infection.
